MetConnections Inc. (“Met,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use the Met mobile application and related services.
Intended Audience
Met is intended for adults (18+) participating in professional, community, or organized in-person settings. Met is not directed to children and is not designed for use by individuals under the age of 18.
1. Information We Collect
We collect limited personal information solely to help you discover and connect with others in real-world settings. We do not collect users’ dates of birth or age.
a. Account Information
We collect your name, email address, phone number, and login credentials (such as email and password or third-party login information).
b. Role Card Data
We collect your responses to role-specific questions and any filters or tags you use to indicate what kind of connections you’re seeking. This information is used to facilitate relevant matches based on the roles you choose (e.g., Founder, Investor, Romantic Partner, Client, etc.). We do not collect or store profile images, bios, or personal descriptions.
c. Location Data
We collect location data only when the app is actively in use. Location data is used exclusively to determine whether users are physically present in the same real-world setting in order to facilitate in-person introductions. Your location is never publicly visible. Only users you have explicitly chosen to meet at a specific location will be able to see that you are present at that location. Location data is used temporarily and is not retained beyond what is necessary to provide the service.
d. Device and Usage Information
We may collect limited technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, and diagnostic data (e.g., crash logs and usage statistics) to help improve app performance, reliability, and security.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
Match you with other users based on your selected roles and preferences
Facilitate real-time, location-based, in-person introductions between consenting users
Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
Monitor and improve app performance, security, and usability
Communicate important service-related updates
Met does not provide public profiles, social feeds, or persistent online social networking features.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information only in the following circumstances:
With another user, but only when both parties mutually agree to meet at the same physical location
With trusted third-party service providers who assist in operating, hosting, or analyzing app performance, under strict confidentiality obligations
When required by law, regulation, or legal process
In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, where user data may be transferred as part of that transaction
4. Your Choices and Controls
You can:
View, update, or delete your role card preferences and account information through the app
Opt out of non-essential communications
Request permanent account deletion by contacting us at support@metconnections.com
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the service or as required by applicable law. If you choose to delete your account, we will remove your information in accordance with our internal retention and deletion procedures.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no digital platform can guarantee absolute security. We encourage you to use a strong password and protect access to your device.
7. Children’s Privacy
Met is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a user under 18, we will take appropriate steps to delete that information.
8. International Users
If you access or use the Met app from outside the United States, your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. By using the app, you consent to this transfer.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. When we do, we will notify you through the app or by email. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Child Safety Standards – MetConnections
MetConnections is committed to maintaining a safe platform and to preventing child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). MetConnections is intended for adult users only (18+) and is not designed for use by minors.
1. Standards Against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)
MetConnections strictly prohibits any use of the service that involves or facilitates:
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
Grooming or sexual communication involving minors
The solicitation, sharing, or promotion of sexually explicit or exploitative content involving children
Any attempt to contact, target, or exploit minors through the platform
Any user found to be engaging in such activity will be immediately removed from the platform. Where required by law, MetConnections will report suspected violations to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement authorities.
2. Intended Audience and Access Restrictions
MetConnections is intended exclusively for adults (18+). The platform is not directed to children, and MetConnections does not knowingly permit minors to use the service.
If MetConnections becomes aware that an account belongs to an individual under the age of 18, the account will be promptly removed.
3. Reporting Safety Concerns
MetConnections provides users with a mechanism to report inappropriate behavior or safety concerns:
Users may report another user through the app or by contacting support@metconnections.com
Reports may include a description of the concern and any relevant contextual information
Reports related to safety or potential CSAE are prioritized for review
All reports are reviewed by MetConnections to determine appropriate action in accordance with our policies and legal obligations.
4. Platform Design and User Interactions
MetConnections is designed to facilitate in-person introductions, not online social networking.
MetConnections does not offer public profiles, social feeds, or content sharing
MetConnections does not host or distribute user-generated media
Any interaction features are limited to supporting real-world introductions and are not designed for ongoing online communication
Because of this constrained design, opportunities for misuse are limited; however, MetConnections takes all safety concerns seriously and responds appropriately to reports.
5. Compliance With Child Protection Laws
MetConnections complies with applicable child safety and data protection laws, including:
The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
GDPR provisions relating to children (GDPR-K), where applicable
Other relevant child protection regulations in jurisdictions where MetConnections operates
